To say life is busy is a huge understatement. Chris started this blog for me so that I would have an outlet and a journal of sorts to reflect back on years from now. To be successful at this, I need to be consistent with posting! Urg! I am extremely frustrated with myself right now. Actually I’m just frustrated in general.
Life is good. I just have so many balls in the air that I don’t feel like I have time to enjoy my amazing life.
Before I start my rant and get into all of this garbage – I’d like to give a huge shout out to my uncle Bob – he has done an absolutely amazing job on our patio! I’ll post pics soon – until then, check him out at BOBS BEST PATIOS! – he is fantastic!!!
Wedding details are basically done. There are a few last details, but nothing major and nothing worth focusing on. Hey – actually this is frustrating too! I’ve spend so much time on money on this one day, wouldn’t it just have been better to run off to Vegas for a weekend??! We could have used all the extra money toward our house or honeymoon or finding a cure for cancer. Why do we put so much emphasis on this one day, on the perfect dress?! I’m frustrated, have I mentioned this already? I just want to be married already and move on with our lives. I know I’m whining- I’m sorry. Rant over.
The wedding will be perfect. I will look amazing and Chris and I will have incredible memories of our perfect day surrounded by all our friends and family. And that is all I have to say about that.
Our house is moving along nicely. Chris has finished the plumbing and electrical work upstairs. I’ve spent the last week fixing the dry wall in the master bedroom and deciding on the carpet for our room. My uncle Bob (the one who is doing our patio) also has a friend that cleans carpets and has been extremely helpful in my selection. Which color hides the most, the one that holds up the best and what will feel the softest on my feet when I wake up in the morning. 🙂 I ended up choosing a light brown – actually beige with specks of brown. Its beautiful. I have also chosen the paint color for this room, which i will be doing in the next few days. After our room is done, I will move onto the master bath. I’m thinking I will go neutral here and brighten it up with color and accessories. I’ve convinced Chris to get heated floors – i’m so excited! Heated bathroom floors- is there anything better??!!! I love the look of clean white tiles, Chris and I will should be going to the store later this week to make our final decisions on this. I’ve never laid tile before but Chris has and will be assisting me. We are saving so much money by doing most of this work ourselves, its just a stress and a half! IT WILL BE WORTH IT! I have to keep repeating that!!
The stress of learning, doing and selecting is definitely weighing on me and affecting the rest of my life. I’m sorry for the rant but thats something I can look back on as well, right? Its all part of the charm of where we are.
I’m laughing and smiling and crying all at the same time!
